Course Structure of MBBS from Kasturba (Manipal) Medical College

The course shall have a duration of four and a half years with an additional one-year compulsory rotating internship. The students shall be awarded a stipend as decided by the college during the period of internship. The students will be subjected to engage in full-time study of the curriculum recognized by the Medical Council of India during the MBBS program.

The course begins with a one-month foundation course and provides early clinical exposure in the first year. The college follows NMC guidelines for theory classes and clinical training. The program covers pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical subjects, with horizontal and vertical integration in every phase of teaching. The course is also transformed into a credit system to aid students, and electives and skills modules are included in the curriculum. To enhance students’ soft skills and communication, AETCOM modules have been introduced in various phases, as mandated by NMC.

Additionally, the students are taught legal and ethical duties of medical professionals, and the statute and operations of the Medical Council of India. The program concludes with the graduates being competent in general skills, practice management, implementation and monitoring of infection control and environmental safety plans, patient care and treatment preparation.

Admission Procedure for MBBS from Kasturba Medical College

MBBS from Kasturba Medical College is made based on the candidate’s performance in NEET and according to the NEET counseling procedure as laid down by the government.
